All three of these are fucking great.  They get progressively weirder, thank god.  Dark, melodic, psychedelic and even low fi at times.  They just don’t have some of the resurgent utter fan worship of some of their contemporaries but they pretty much deserve it.  I probably hadn’t listened to Porcupine in 10 or 12 years until today and I can’t believe I forgot about this record.   Echo and the Bunneymen Crocodiles 1980
